7-Day Barrier Reset Tracker
A structured week to simplify your routine, observe your skin, and start rebuilding from a stable foundation.
This tracker is designed for one purpose: to give your skin a break. Whether you are recovering from a reaction, dealing with persistent dryness or redness, or simply unsure what your skin needs — seven days of a stripped-down routine can tell you more than months of guessing. The goal is not perfection. The goal is information.
How to Use This Tracker
1
Simplify your routine to the three essentials: gentle cleanser, plain moisturizer, mineral SPF (morning only). Pause all actives, new products, and anything with fragrance.2
Track daily. Check off your routine steps, rate your symptoms on a 1–5 scale, and note anything that changed — products, environment, stress, sleep, diet.3
Review on Day 7. Compare your symptom scores from Day 1 to Day 7. Look for patterns. Use your notes to guide what you reintroduce — slowly, one product at a time.Your Reset Routine — Keep It This Simple
| Step | What to Use | What to Avoid |
|---|---|---|
|
Cleanser AM + PM |
Fragrance-free, low-pH, non-foaming. Skin should feel comfortable — not tight — after rinsing. | Foaming cleansers, exfoliating cleansers, hot water, anything that stings. |
|
Moisturizer AM + PM |
Plain, fragrance-free. Apply to slightly damp skin. Ceramides, glycerin, or squalane are ideal. | Fragrance, essential oils, actives, brightening or anti-aging claims. |
|
SPF AM only |
Mineral SPF (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide). Fragrance-free. Reapply every 2 hours outdoors. | Chemical filters if previously reactive. Skipping SPF entirely. |
| Everything else | Paused for 7 days. | Retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, exfoliants, toners, serums, masks. |
Daily Tracker
Your skin may feel worse before it feels better. This is normal. Stay with the stripped routine and note what you observe.

Look for shifts. Is tightness easing? Is redness settling? Note even subtle changes — they matter.

By Day 7, your skin should feel more settled. Use your notes to decide what to reintroduce — one product at a time, with 5–7 days between each addition.
